I can't find the shade structure!!! AUUUUGH!

ETA: Disaster averted. Shade structure located. Ah, what would Burning Man prep be without these little moments of abject hysteria!

So, on Sunday, I went with Dave and Katya to dim sum, Chinatown, Little Tokyo, and the Garment District. I made some very important and totally necessary Burning Man purchases. Look, this stuff is important!! Um.... um.

Last week proved to be a very long one and I kept meaning to update and never did. I had lots happen and yet no motivation whatsoever to blog about it. I'll try to do a summary. With 2 photos.

I just rolled back into LA after a stealth weekend in SF to bring my boys home. It is hot hot hot here. :( BUT there was an amazing gift waiting for me from _stillsong_ - an incredible green cape that I will wear at Burning Man.

So, last night I got my rejection letter for my Burning Man art project grant proposal. I'm not at all upset I didn't get it - waiting was the hardest part and now I can move forward with exploring other funding options ( Read more... )

Boy, am I tired. I suppose I should let my boss know I'm not coming in tomorrow. Seeing as how I'm still 375 miles away.

My hair is now streaked with purple and red. Woo!

I absolutely love it and may not cut it off like I planned originally. My corporate lifestyle be damned! :)

So, I'm going on vacation tomorrow and will be back in a week. Try not to burn anything down while I'm gone and ... well, I may burn some stuff down while I'm gone. :)
